Feasibility study

Rotating Building

Design analysis of a building capable of changing its orientation in response to the sun, landscape and environmental conditions. The study connects spatial quality, passive strategies, movement mechanics and energy management.

  • Orientation: a changing relationship with light, views and climate.
  • Environmental performance: assessment of energy and bioclimatic potential.
  • Technical feasibility: structural system, rotating platform, building services and safety.

The diagram is a temporary conceptual representation and will be replaced by the studio’s original drawings and renderings.
